Progressive Md. Begins Election Season with
Early Endorsements, New Acting Director

Dear Friends and Supporters,
I'd like to begin my first missive for this newsletter by thanking our outgoing Executive Director, Sean Dobson for his ten years of excellent service, inspiring leadership and unwavering commitment to progressive principles. On May 18th, Sean left the position as Executive Director of Progressive Maryland and PMEF to become the new Field Director at the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy. In this capacity, Sean will have a wider impact on the progressive movement nationwide as he helps steer more funding to advocacy organizations like Progressive Maryland.
I’d also like to thank the Progressive Maryland Board of Directors for the opportunity, responsibility and honor of appointing me, Acting Executive Director, while we search for a permanent E.D. I have worked for Progressive Maryland in many capacities, starting almost five years ago as a consultant, fighting Bush’s Medicare Part D expansion, then becoming an At-Large Member of PM’s Board of Directors, then joining the staff on a full time basis as the Political Director in early 2008....
